Bill Brogan is the Managing Partner of MH2 Technology Law Group LLP. Bill has more than 20 years of experience in all aspects of patent law, including U.S. patent preparation and prosecution; foreign prosecution; reexamination; appeal before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board; patentability, validity, noninfringement and infringement opinions; patent portfolio management; establishing new in-house IP programs for clients; client counseling from product development through patenting and patent assertion; and patent litigation.

Mr. Brogan has drafted and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications and supervised the drafting and prosecution of hundreds of others, both U.S. and foreign. He also litigated for more than a decade, and his litigation experience has proven to be very valuable in shaping the strategies and tactics he applies to his prosecution and counseling practice. Mr. Brogan concentrates his practice in technologies related to computers, software, and business methods. He represents clients in a wide variety of industries, including software development, financial technology (Fintech), consumer product manufacturing, smart cards, blockchain technology, electronics manufacturing, insurance, medical robots, cybersecurity, data privacy, networking, domain name system (DNS), and automated package delivery.

Prior to joining MH2, Bill Brogan was Of Counsel at Finnegan, where he practiced for almost 11 years. Before becoming a patent attorney, Mr. Brogan enjoyed a 12-year career as a software engineer, and he holds a degree in computer engineering. His software engineering experience included designing, developing, and testing real-time, embedded software for sonar systems, radar jammers, packet-switching networks, and the GPS satellite.
