Larry Galvin is a people person with an unusually broad technical background. He concentrates his practice on the preparation and prosecution of domestic, international and PCT utility patent applications in electrical, electronic, mechanical and nuclear engineering, as well as advanced mathematics, biometrics, chemistry, communications, computers, cryptography, elevator systems, the automotive industry and related technology areas. He also has appealed numerous cases to the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, including participation in several successful oral hearings. Additionally, he prepares and prosecutes design patent applications, and conducts client counseling.

Prior to joining MH2 Technology Law Group, LLP, Larry was an Associate with the law firm of Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP, in Washington, DC; an Of Counsel with the law firm of Sughrue, Mion, Zinn, Macpeak & Seas, PLLC, in Washington, DC; and an Of Counsel with the law firm of Harness, Dickey & Pierce, PLC, in Reston, VA.

Before embarking on his legal career, Larry spent twenty years as a nuclear-trained submarine officer in the U.S. Navy, where he gained extensive experience in the practical application of chemical, electrical, mechanical, nuclear, ocean and systems engineering, as well as material science. During this time, he also served on the faculty of the United States Naval Academy as Associate Chairman of the Physics Department and Master Instructor of Physics and Ethics, and on the faculty of the University of Southern California as Assistant Professor of Naval Science.
